Plagiobothrys nothofulvus (rusty popcorn flower) (= Plagiobothrys nothofulvus in Flora of the Pacific Northwest) Taprooted annuals 1.5-5 dm tall; 1-several simple or moderately branched stems arising from basal rosette; leaves and stems with spreading hairs, those of the stems shorter and softer. Distribution: Common in the east end of the Columbia River Gorge in Washington; Oregon south to northern Baja California and east to Nevada. Habitat: Open slopes, fields and roadsides. |
