Tellima grandiflora (bigflower tellima, fringecup, fragrant fringecup) (= Tellima grandiflora in Flora of the Pacific Northwest) Herbaceous perennial from a somewhat rhizomatous base, the flowering stems up to 8 dm. tall, covered with stiff, short, blunt hairs. Distribution: Occurring chiefly west of the Cascades crest in Washington, occasionally east to northeast Washington and in the Columbia River Gorge; Alaska south to California. Habitat: Common in damp woods and along streams, sea level to moderate elevations in the mountains. |
