Psilocarphus brevissimus (short woollyheads, dwarf woollyheads) (= Psilocarphus brevissimus in Flora of the Pacific Northwest) Small, woolly, monoecious annuals, usually prostrate and branching, the stems up to 10 cm. long. Distribution: Occurring east of the Cascades crest in Washington; British Columbia south to California, east to the Rocky Mountains. Habitat: Dried beds of vernal pools. |

Distribution: Occurring on both sides of the Cascades crest in Washington; British Columbia south to California, east to Idaho and Montana. Habitat: Dried beds of vernal pools and other open, moist places. |

Habitat: Dry or seasonally moist barren or wooded slopes or flats, often on disturbed sites. |
