Distribution: Occurring in the Cascades of Washington from Whatcom to Pierce County; in high alpine areas of western North America, rarely in the mountains of E Canada, also in the Eurasian and American Arctic, European Alps, the Asian Altai Mountains, and the Caucasus Mountains.
Habitat: Alpine areas, often where rocky.
