Description:
General :

Annual; stems ascending to erect, 1-4 dm tall, rough-hairy, often reddish.

Leaves :

Leaves 2-4.5 cm broad, divided slightly more than halfway to the base into 5-7 segments, segments lobed, blade round to deltoid to reniform in outline, slightly soft-hairy.

Flowers:

Flowers radial, on pedicels 7-20 mm; sepals 5, 4.5-6 mm, not ridged, tipped with short awns; petals 5, scarcely longer than sepals, light pinkish purple; fertile stamens 10; stylar column 14-16 mm, stigmas 1 mm.

Fruits:

Mericarps 5, 2.5-3 mm, smooth, sparsely bristly; seeds coarsely pitted.
