Area behind driftwood by beach; Rosa nutkana, grasses; sandy-gravelly soil.

1494 Leymus mollis
Rhizomatous; glaucous plants; common along immediate beach in driftwood; anthers pale yellow.
1495 Galium aparine var. echinospermum
Annual; stems clamboring on Rosa near beach; flowers off-white.
1496 Claytonia rubra ssp. depressa
Basal leaves sparse; plants green to red-tinged; in sand back from beach.
1497 Lamium purpureum
Flowers light purple; leaves reflexed, purple tinged; uncommon among grasses.
1498 Plantago lanceolata
Scattered in open gravel back from beach.
1499 Rumex acetosella
Scattered along trail by beach; inflorescence reddish.
1500 Poa confinis
Uncommon; short-rhizomatous; in sand behind driftwood.
1501 Poa pratensis
Uncommon; short-rhizomatous; in sand behind driftwood.
1502 Bromus tectorum
In gravel; scattered.
1503 Vicia hirsuta
Flowers white; occasional on grassy slope above beach.
1504 Vicia villosa
Flowers purple; not strongly bicolored; abundant on grassy slope above beach.
1505 Vicia sativa var. angustifolia
flowers red-purple; uncommon on grassy slope above beach.
1506 Ribes divaricatum
Fruit immature, green; petals white; scattered shrub to 1 meter tall among Rosa behind driftwood.

Steep SW-facing sandy-gravelly bluff directly above cobble beach.

1690 Ambrosia chamissonis var. bipinnatisecta
Large perennial with trailing stems forming patch 2 meters across on upper beach.
1691 Rosa rugosa
Petals deep pink; leaves thick; shrubs 1 meter tall forming clump along driftwood.
1692 Chrysopsis villosa var. villosa
Flowers yellow; stems from a semi-woody branched caudex; on bluff.
1693 Festuca rubra
Stems tufted; small patch on eroding sandy part of bluff.
