Cercocarpus ledifolius Nutt. var. intermontanus N.H. Holmgren[HC2, JPM]
birchleaf mountain-mahogany

Publication: Brittonia 39(4): 424-426, f. 1A-D. 1987.

Origin: Native

selected vouchers: WTU

Notes: H&C states that var. ledifolius occurs in WA, however no other resources (JPM, PLANTS database) support this determination. H&C state that var. intercedens occurs in WA, however this appears unlikely considering that this variety is recognized as a hybrid between Cercocarpus intricatus (which doesn't occur in WA) and C. ledifolius var. intermontanus.
