Background: I have a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering. After 10 years of working in engineering, I moved to Chelan where I managed a small apple & pear orchard until my retirement in 2010. I have been affiliated with North Central WA Audubon since about 1982, and I've been the compiler for most of the Chelan Christmas Bird Counts since 1994. I am also a member of HawkWatch International and have gone up to the Chelan Ridge a number of autumns to assist with hawk migration counting. I've enjoyed wildflower photography and identification for a number of years, primarily in northern Chelan County and southern Okanogan County. Only recently have I become a member of WNPS, and have compiled a Plant List for Beebe Springs Natural Area near Chelan Falls. My next project is to compile a Plant List for Little Bear Trail in Lake Chelan State Park.
