Distribution: Occurring east of the Cascades crest in Washington; central British Columbia to Washington, also in California and Nevada, east to the Rocky Mountains and Canadian Great Plains.

Habitat: Sagebrush desert areas, parasitic mainly on Artemisia tridentata.

Flowers: May-July

Origin: Native
