Distribution: Occurring on both sides of the Cascades crest in Washington; Alaska to California, east to the Great Plains.

Habitat: Sandy or stony soils of coastal beaches, headlands, and riverbanks and plains from the lowlands to middle elevations.

Flowers: May-August
