Cantharellus roseocanus

Distribution: Western Moist, coastal or mountain environments

Habitat: It seems to be associated primarily with spruce, occurring with Sitka spruce and shore pine near the coast and with Engelmann spruce in the mountains.

Conservation Status: Not of concern


Similar to C. cascadensis, the cap of C. c. roseocanus is smooth, bright yellow orange, often has a pinkish blush near its edge, and bruises less than the other two golden chanterelles.
