Distribution: Occurring east of the Cascades crest in Washington, where disjunct from the main range of the variety. Alberta to Colorado, east to the Great Plains, disjunct in central Washington.

Habitat: Open places in the foothills, valleys and plains, often among sagebrush.

Flowers: April-June

Origin: Native
