Distribution: Occurring chiefly east of the Cascades crest in Washington, but also in the Olympic Mountains. British Columbia to California, east to the Rocky Mountains and northern Great Plains.

Habitat: Moist seepy slopes and moist depressions in grasslands, also to subalpine areas.

Flowers: March-June
