Distribution: Widely distributed on both sides of the Cascades crest in Washington; Alaska to California, east to the northern Great Plains, and further east across Canada to the Atlantic Coast.

Habitat: Moist meadows and boggy shoreland to semi-aquatic and often brackish areas.

Flowers: May-September

Growth Duration: Annual, Perennial
